CLANY is an organization of attorneys who believe that parties seeking to separate or divorce are best served resolving their case outside of Court. You may not be able to save the marriage, but you can separate with respect through the method of Collaborative Divorce.
With Collaborative Divorce, parties and their attorneys sign a participation agreement that promotes fairness, allowing you and your spouse to negotiate mutually beneficial outcomes. Our process requires participants work toward common goals, and reduces the likelihood that threats or ultimatums will compromise the process.
Each party's attorney will charge his/her client the same reasonable, value-based fixed fee, based on the difficulty level assessed by the attorneys for the case ("less complex", "moderate" or "more complex"). The fee is not determined by the billable hour, but rather the particular circumstances of your family and the fair value of the time that will be spent to reach an amicable resolution.
